62.5 Microns

We offer high-quality fiber optic 62.5µ patch cables designed with ST to SC termination, and is perfect for Ethernet, multimedia, or communication applications. The ST connector features a bayonet locking system and the SC connector features a push-pull locking system. The LC cable with latch clip design gives each connection greater durability in resisting pulls, strains and impacts during cabling installs and maintenance. The small LC connectors satisfy the need for higher port density both in the telecom room and the work area, and offer twice the port density of traditional SC and ST fiber connectors. The MTRJ terminator features a latch-type design similar to the RJ connector on a Cat5 patch cable, and is half the size of the SC connector. MTRJ installation is quick and easy with the no polish, no epoxy, quick termination design. Fiber patch cords are used to connect fiber optic equipment to fiber optic cross-connects, interconnects, and information outlets.

The patented Injection Molding Process gives each connection greater durability in resisting pulls, strains and impacts from cabling installs. The pull-proof jacket design surrounds the popular 62.5/125 multimode fiber. Applications include Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, Multimedia, ATM, or any application that requires high-speed data transfer.

Each cable is 100% optically inspected and tested for insertion loss before you receive it.

Mode Conditioning Cables

Mode Conditioning Cables fare designed for use in Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-LX applications. It is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z application standards. Mode Conditioning Cables are needed in applications where new high-speed Gigabit 1000BASE-LX routers and switches are being deployed into existing multimode plants.

The need for this patch cord is due to the single-mode launch nature of the -LX or long-wave (1300 nm) transceiver modules used for Gigabit Ethernet. Launching a single-mode laser into the center of a multimode fiber can cause multiple signals to be generated that confuses the receiver at the other end of the fiber. These multiple signals, caused by Differential Mode Delay (DMD) effects, severely limit the cable distance lengths for operating Gigabit Ethernet. A mode conditioning patch cord eliminates these multiple signals by allowing the single-mode launch to be offset away from the center of a multimode fiber.
